ALi Corporation (3041 TT) today held its 2018 second quarter earnings conference call. Its second-quarter revenue reached NT$599 million, representing an increase of 9% quarter-over-quarter. The quarter-over-quarter growth was mainly due to contribution from Pay-TV operator segment. The gross profit was NT$128 million with consolidated gross margin of 21% . Compared to the previous quarter, the consolidated gross margin was down nine percentage point due to inventory provision. The operating expense was NT$366 million, about the same level as the previous quarter. As a result, the operating loss was NT$237 million, net loss NT$173million, and basic earnings per share -NT$0.59.
In the second quarter, free-to-air STB, Pay-TV operator STB and others (non-STB) accounted for 30-35%, 60-65%, and 0-5% of the total consolidated revenue, respectively.
